Ginger Tree Holistic Skin Clinic

A targetted massage to focus on a specific area or when time is short. All the usual lovely 5 Star Ginger Tree elements - heated oil, heated bed, soft thick towels and lovely aromas. To ensure the quality of massage received and to protect the health of the therapist, we only do 3 massages per day.

Unwind Massage

Hopi Native American Indians used the "candles" as part of their purification process. It's known as Thermal Auricular Therapy. The candles are in fact hollow tubes of linen dipped in herbs and gentle rest on the entrance to the ear. A pair of candles is used in each treatment which is followed by a facial cleanse plus a relaxing lymphatic drainage massage to the face and head. Grommets in the ear or an ear infection or burst ear drum are contraindications to this treatment. Thermal Auricular Therapy can be helpful to people with sinusitis, or recurring headaches.

Thermal Auricular Therapy

An often overlooked treatment that works on the whole of the body through the feet. You'll be relaxing on the heated couch, and hot booties are used to keep one foot warm whilst the other is being worked on using the special Reflexology thumb crawl technique. It also includes a foot massage. People often find this treatment more relaxing than massage. More than just a routine reflexology treatment.

Reflexology

This massage is normally performed sitting and with clothes on. It's a great stress buster and can be done with or without oils. A great introduction to massage, particularly for those who prefer not to have skin exposed.

Tailored massage, reflexology, facial, head massage, hopi ear - basically a combination of any holistic treatment that suits your needs. A whole body and face experience! Delicious

Holistic Bespoke Treatment

The Gentle Touch Therapy, devised by the Made for Life Foundation, are body treatments specifically for client who are or have recently experienced cancer. These restful, very light touch treatments for face, upper back, hands, arms, legs and feet use organic products from Made for Life in Cornwall and have been designed by both therapists, oncologists and supports by Macmillan Cancer group to allow those on a cancer journey to have appropriate relaxing treatments without the need for consultant's permission. The treatment is tailor made depending on your body's needs and cancer treatments and will leave you in a more relaxed and peaceful state of mind. They are also wonderful treatments for anyone with limiting conditions where traditional therapies are not appropriate, for example, arthritis, rheumatism, depression, anxiety and multiple sclerosis.

A dual treatment combining foot reflexology with facial massage to promote deep relaxation and overall wellness.

Foot & Face Reflexology

A combined treatment focusing on relaxation and rejuvenation of the back and face through massage and skincare techniques.

Back & Face

A lovely treatment that combines the benefits of both massage and reflexology. A great treatment if you can't decide between a massage or reflexology or if you fancy a taster of each. A deeply relaxing treatment, perfect for all over well being.

To ensure the quality of massage you receive and to protect the therapist's health, I only offer 3 massage slots per day. All massage treatments are tailored to clients needs. I am trained in several different forms of massage and choose the techniques most suited to your body's needs.

Signature Holistic Facial

Who's it for?: Anyone who wants an instant lift, tone and smoother looking skin. What's included?: This is the Rolls Royce of our facials to lift, tone smooth and soothe the skin. Using highly specialised movements, breath work, lymphatic drainage, buccal intra-oral and head massage. Creating a natural look and real results. A total experience. What else would help?: Course of Dermalux Compact Lite LED treatments

Finger Tip Facelift

This is a very gentle superficial peel. Dr Des Fernandes, Environ founder and formulator is the pioneer of the Cool Peel technology. Skin needs to be prepared and healthy prior to treatment and is a course of treatments. Particularly useful for stubborn skin concerns.

A treatment combining various electrical modalities to stimulate skin rejuvenation, improve texture, and promote a healthy glow.

Electrical combination

The DMK StemZyme treatment is a course of 5 treatments over a 50 day period. It's suitable for existing DMK treatment users and represents a significant step up in improving skin health using skin chemistry alone. No machines, devices or invasive measures. Specific products for usage during the 50 days are included in the price. A patch test is required.

Targeted treatment focusing on improving the skin firmness and texture of the neck area. Helps reduce signs of aging and tightens sagging skin.

DMK Intense Neck Treatment

A specialized treatment designed to improve skin texture, firmness, and overall skin health by stimulating collagen production. Ideal for skin needing rejuvenation and smoothing.

DMK Epifill

The DMK Enzyme procedure is unique in the work of facial treatments. A special deep cleanse and targeted, gentle release of excess skin cells, followed by the enzyme mask encourages fresh oxygen into the skin tissues and the release of built up debris and toxins in the skin. The result gives lifted and brightened skin. The Muscle Banding version of this facial is more specifically for lifting the muscles as well as all the above benefits.

DMK Enzyme Therapy

These are specialist treatments for dealing with acne, pigmentation, texture and damaged skin on the back. After a consultation we will agree which treatment is best for your condition. Some examples would be the DMK Body Enzyme Treatment or the Environ TCA Peel. Both require a course of treatments. The average number of treatments required is 6, but this can vary depending on the individual and the degree of the condition.

This is the starting point for any new client who wants to go on a skin care and treatment journey with me at Ginger Tree. Taking about an hour you will learn more about skin science, your own skin and what I think are the next best steps to get you started on a skin care journey. I'll also use the skin analysis machine called the Observ 520 which gives 6 pictures of how the skin is currently performing. Our skin is a reflection of what is going on inside, so this consultation takes into account many different aspects of our wellbeing. Kathy's extensive background and education in holistic wellness means she can give you new ways of dealing with or looking at your own health as well as skincare.

I’m Kathy owner and holistic facialist at Ginger Tree Holistic Skin Consultancy, based near Richmond, North Yorkshire.
